Patrick holds a B.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts, and an M.F.A. in painting and photography from UC Irvine. He has been photographing for over 32 years. His work continues the tradition of large format black and white photography, concentrating mostly on the platinum/palladium printing process. He uses numerous large format cameras to create his images. They range from 8" x 10" to the 18" x 22" mammoth plate camera, some of which are 100 years old. Many of his images are created using antique lenses as well, giving a distinctive look to the final print. He prints all his own images at his dark room in Culver City, CA. His main body of work deals with the female nude in the landscape and more recently with rural and urban documentation. His work reflects the Pictorialist's sensibility and belief in Beauty as the prime source of image making. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
