My wonderful young daughter, Hanna, was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes this past December.  She will be 4 in August 2005.  Living with this incurable disease is especially hard for young children.  It tears your heart out to see a four-year old pricked 5-6 times a day to draw blood and injected another 4-5 times daily with insulin.  The JRDF is a world-class, results driven institution focused on finding a cure for this unfortunate affliction.  For more information, click on www.jdf.org.

Kids With A Cause

The Charity was created to provide a helping hand to the children of the world who, through no fault of their own, suffer from poverty, hunger, sickness, lack of education, abandonment, neglect and/or abuse. Operation Breakthrough

Located in the inner city of Kansas City, Missouri, this amazing  charity cares each day for more than 400 children, ages 6 weeks to 14 years. All but 2% of the enrolled families live below federal poverty guidelines. About 25% of the children come from homeless or battered women's shelters. Another 25% come from foster homes. Georgia Transplant Foundation(GTF)

GTF is unique in the national transplant community. Founded in August 1992 by Tommy Smith, a kidney transplant recipient, GTF is focused on providing both financial and educational assistance during a time that is often overwhelming for those undergoing or waiting for a transplant.
