Welcome to a Gallery of Famous Faces

People are what make the world tick. At Famous Faces we enjoy reliving history as well as experiencing the present by looking at interesting people through the lens of a photograph. We offer original, limited edition or vintage fine-art photos of people who have made a big difference or who have enriched our lives: Presidents, Sports Stars, Rock Legends, Scientists, Entertainers, Spiritual Leaders, and Change Advocates. We offer works from Alfred Eisenstaedt, Yousef Karsh, Phillipe Halsman, George Hurrell, Roy Schatt, Andre de Dienes and Nat Fein. We also offer work from some of today’s best contemporary iconographers, including Mark Seliger, Mary Ellen Mark, Harry Langdon, Len Prince, and Walter Iooss.

How I Got Started

Collecting has always been a passion. As a youth, I started with baseball cards and old coins. I moved on to still life paintings and kaleidoscopes as a young adult. Five years ago, captivated by the power of camera-derived images, I graduated to photographs.

My quest began on EBay with a focus on movie stills and vintage press photos. I stocked up on prints of Grace Kelly, motivated by her incredible beauty and elegance, not to mention that we hailed from the same town – Philadelphia. I moved up to limited edition and vintage glamour portraits. I was introduced to the sophisticated, dreamy photos of George Hurrell by Michael Epstein of Hurrell Photos. Michael also exposed me to the Hurrell-like images of contemporary master, Len Prince, in addition to the fantastic glamour shots of Harry Langdon. During my journey I learned to appreciate and represent the works of the photographers referred to in the preceding section. This quest will continue as I am always on a search for new talent skilled at photographing famous faces.

As I learned from my days as a strategy executive at General Electric, any successful business has to carve out a niche and serve it better than anyone in the world.
